What Materials Are Needed For Flange Manufacturing?

1. Steel
Steel is one of the most commonly used raw materials for flange manufacturing, typically carbon steel and alloy steel. Carbon steel is typically used in low-pressure, low-temperature applications (such as in the oil and gas industries), while alloy steel is suitable for high-temperature, high-pressure environments. Common steels include Q235, 20#, 16Mn, and 20Mn.

2. Stainless Steel
Stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and is therefore often chosen as a raw material for flanges in applications requiring high corrosion resistance. Common stainless steel grades include 304, 316, and 321.

3. Copper
Copper is an excellent electrical and thermal conductor and is commonly used in flanges involving electrical connections. Copper flanges also have excellent corrosion resistance and are suitable for use in strong acid and alkaline environments. Common copper materials include T2, TU2, and H62.

4. Aluminum
Aluminum has excellent thermal conductivity and a long service life and is commonly used in flanges in low-pressure, low-temperature applications. Common aluminum materials include 2A12 and 3003. 5. Plastics
Plastics have the advantages of being lightweight, wear-resistant, and rust-resistant. Therefore, they are often chosen as a raw material for applications where material requirements are less stringent, such as water purification and chemical transportation. Commonly used plastic materials include PVC, PP, and PE.
